Comment:
I have an ipaq desktop 1.0, it's a 500 celeron, 128/100 sdram, 8.4 hdd running win 98se with a bus speed of 66mhz and a 90 watt power supply. It has a 810e chipset which i believe runs at 66/100/133 fsb. I'd like to upgrade the cpu and the hdd, can i install a 900/1000 celeron @ 100 or 133 fsb and a UATA/100 20 hhd and do I need to change any settings to make it run at the higher fsb. I read that the cpu can be upgraded as long as the current load is not more than 18 amps, how does this translate to cpu voltage. Can anyone help?..thanks

My i810 can go up to 800 MHz.You should check the motherboard specs closely. The 20 GB hard drive will be detected readily without problems.A regular household outlet will not go over 15 Amps in North America without blowing the fuse.Computers do no draw this much current and much less the Cpu that will be in the range of microamps at most with low voltage. If you need a good program to detect the hardware specs use AIDA 32. http://www.angelfire.com/de/mk/downloads.html Good luck.
