I received an old compaq deskpro from my school, and im trying to set it up, i plugged my monitor into it's onboard video, and when i turn the computer on, i get no clicks from the monitor signalling anything, and nothing appears. i have no idea what the problem is, i plugged my S3 virge card in, and plugged the monitor into that, nothing. It could be anything, i guess. Anyone know what i can do? Need More info?

More info please. Does the system give any post beep? What other hardware did you find inside the case? Do fans(If any) spin at powerup? Can you test powersupply for correct output? You should be able to DL a user manual from HP/Compaq that may help with diagnosing your problem.

the fan spins, i know the power supply is giving power, the CPU gets warm.
