I have no info on CPU i need to know how to Access the BIOS on a Compaq Deskpro 2000. My old Compaq presario is hit F 10.

Oh one more thing. Will it harm anything if i try useing my Compaq Restore CD? The restore CD is from a Compaq Presario 5110 a Radio Shack demo model. I may for may not install Windows 2000 Pro.

A restore CD from a different model has very little chance of working.

Try the following to enter the Bios:
F1
F2
F3
F10
esc
del
ctrl+alt+esc
ctrl+alt+s
ctrl+alt+ins
ctrl+alt+del

downloaded manual supposedly f10 gets you in bios but the processor you have is a 200mhz mmx

Oh i almost forgot. I get this error on start up.
1720-SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure.
I know the drive had bad sectors scandisk might have fixed them but if not could that be the issue or could it be that the drive is over the limit? Windows sees 10 gig so im sure its not anything to do with being over 8 gig limitation.

If your hard drive is bad, or if you removed partitioning & formatted it, you cannot access the BIOS. The F10 file is preinstalled on a separate small partition on the hard drive...once you remove it, you no longer have access. You may be able to restore it though, but if the drive is bad, this probably isn't gonna help you:

disconnect hd forcing error to show on screen & allowing you to enter bios
