I had bought this laptop off a friend for next to nothing. i dont mind putting a little money into it. here is the problem.. screen works ok but you get vertical red lines that flicker and are wide lines. they are also a little faded. I aslo noticed when you run 2000 there is a little more green in the screen when the desktop is up. i figured it could be due to one of these problems.

1.Inverter is going
2.LCD is going
3.video card is going

if you could tell me which part i should replace that would be great thanks. I personaly think its the video card but not positive.

Laptops usually do not have replaceable video cards. Inverter is cheapest. If you feel like tearing into it, just check all cable connections to/on LCD and check the video cable in the "hinge area" for wear.

WILL POST FOR FOOD.
