Specs: Windows XP
i have this mobo the k8m800-m2 and when i connect my psu to it and flip the power switch on the psu (not on the comp) my computer turns on and the hdd indicator led in the front stays a solid red. any hardware connected will run including cpu fan and case fan but the power button dont work and i dont get any kind of display...i was wondering if someong could tell me if the cpu is bad or mobo is bad or maybe its just a psu issue thanx

Okay, that's weird and some of that makes no sense, but one thing comes to mind, and that's to check the jumpers and connections for the LED's and IO switches on the motherboard. Some motherboards have an easy access switch (literally a switch) for power, if something is pressing against it (for example a wire) then it'd power on and continually attempt to, causing your problem. This is just a shot in the dark.

Good luck.
