Okay, I was using my laptop with it plugged in and out of no where it turned off and when I tried turning it back on nothing happened. Also, it makes this soft click, click, click, click, click noise and when I push the power button it clicks faster. Only when it's plugged in though. no lights turn on as they usually do to say that it's plugged in. Lastly I had dropped my laptop once and the tip of the power cord cracked a little. After this problem had occurred though I have purchased a new adapter hoping it would cure the problem which it has not. Could I have fried it somehow? Is my whole computer shot? Please help lol.

Your battery may not have been charging after the "Drop". If you have, or can borrow, another Battery, give it a try. Be sure it's fully charged first. Try without the Battery installed, just the AC adapter. It's possible you damaged the MotherBoard at the Power Plug connection. If nothing works take it to a shop for a checkout. Did you buy the No-Fault insurance policy? Still under Warranty? There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

No, sadly I have no insurance and it is no longer under warranty. But I do think that something is damaged. I have tried plugging it in without the battery and it still makes the same soft clicking noise. No lights turn on or anything.
