Comp running slow, Blue scrn on games startup

Specs: Windows XP
Recently my computer has started running a little slower, instead of immediately being able to load anything seconds after my desktop is loaded now I have to wait at least 15 or 20 seconds. Yesterday I was playing World of Warcraft and I minimized my game window to make sure my internet connection was still up, and when I pulled WoW back up I got a blue screen and the computer restarted. Now only one out of five attempts lets me load a computer game, most of the time I get a bluescreen and reset, but rarely the game will load (but it does happen sometimes). I checked my graphics card and it looked fine, it's got the thing on it that doesn't require a fan to keep it cool, although some of my fans (especially the one over the processor) had lots of dust on it. I would have figured it was a video card issue if it was just a game problem, but my comp is running slow as well. Please help!

I wanted to specify, I'm running my comp with 4 1gig sticks of ram, an NVidia GeForce 8600 GT and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
