Comp gives 3 beeps of the same lenght

I have a intel motherboard. when i swiched on my computer the moniter doesnt show anything and my computer doesnt start.I'm just a teenager and do not understand a lot of concept but still help me so i could run my windows xp computer by my self. PLEASE HELPP !!!!
