CNR Slot

Comment:
I ordered a motherboard with a CNR slot from a company because my last motherboard had a CNR slot and they sent me a different board with a AMR slot as a replacement because they didn't have the board I ordered. I have an Ethernet card and DSL service. Would the motherboard still function and start my computer up as well as let me connect to DSL with an AMR slot if I got the card or would I defenitely need the CNR slot?

Almost certainly. cnr and amr slots are rarely used since most everything goes in pci slots now. Look at your cards and see which one of the below they go in.
My Ethernet card goes in a PCI slot. My video card is in the AGP slot. Will my computer still turn on without a AMR or CNR card because I just assumed I needed a CNR slot because I had a CNR card installed on my last motherboard.
