|I have been experiencing this issue since yesterday. When I started my computer I got an error that CMOS Time/Date not set Please press F1 to enter setup or press F2 to load setup defaults. Well I loaded setup defaults and BIOS settings reset and the Boot sequence changed aswell. So I entered setup and did all the settings like they were and also set the time and date. So afterwards the system worked fine. I shut it down and booted it up about 5 times before going out and coming back home as I don't leave the system on and it booted up normally. Now today it showed the same message. Can You please help me on this? And please provide some detail as to what is CMOS and why is problem is occurring. The Motherboard is only 8 Months old.|
These are my system specs:
Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8Ghz
2 GB DDR2 RAM
HDD: MAXTOR 160GB
Note that I added a new RAM few days ago and the had another problem that the system hanged suddenly and I had to switch off the power supply and switch it back on. The two RAM sticks were the same. Then I removed the RAM and the system worked fine for some days and then this occurred.
NOTE that the motherboard is 8 months old but has been used with great care.
