System specs:
ECS K7S5A mobo
AMD Athlon 1800XP
Kingston DDR pc2100 256 mb
Liteon 40-12-18 cdrw
Western Digital 20 gig 7200 hd
regular old floppy
e-GEFORCE 2 mx400 64mb video card
aceex voice fax modem
300 watt ps

I get error when booting up that says CMOS Settings Wrong CMOS Memory Size Wrong. It gives 2 quick beeps then one beep. It shows my processor as 1150 mhz. I go into settings and change speed to 133/133 and when I reboot, I cannot even hear the memory post. I've tried clearing bios many times, and rebooting, etc. Any ideas?

1: scan your system for virus
2: replace your cmos battery, might be dead.

How do I know what battery to buy? Also, How could I get a virus, Haven't done anything with the system, except try to assemble it.

Now, it seems that after I set everything in the bios, I reboot, and I just don't have video.

hello
can you boot into bios?
this is a new machine? if so dont worrie about virus and not veary likely a dead battery.
look on mobo at bios and than goto bios makers sight and check out error code for that bios.
next recheck all your mobo jumpers.

Yes, I can boot into the bios. I usually clear then restart, and change settings. I checked out the AMI website, and it has a couple of conflicting things. It says the beeps mean that my memory is bad or needs to be reseated. I tried that and still get the errors. It also says the error messages mean the battery may need to be replaced. I have tried two different memory both brand spanking new, and both different brands (NEC and Kingston) Both are 256mb pc2100 ddr.

Yeah. I am kinda not reading all the posts b/c I don;t have time.. But the K7S5A will lock up if the speed in the CMOS is wrong. Try pageup on reboot during POST and it should set the correct speed. Usually a clear BIOS jumper for 10 secs does the trick...but hey so goes.

If pageup isn't the right key go to the MoBo's website for FAQs....www.epox.com

Check which version of K7S5A you have 1.0, 1.1 or 3.0. The wrong CPU speed is a function ur trying to overclock the CPU and/or RAM. MAke sure ur RAM is in the BLUE slots...the others are PC133........good luck.
