CMOS Setting??

Hi,
question; how to clear CMOS and reset it to manufacturer default setting? by then it will not cause the system not work? please help.thanks alot.

You should have a jumper on the motherboard to do this. You MB manual will tell you where it is. Switch of, remove the power cord. Move the jumper from where it is to the clear setting for a few seconds then replace it from whence it came. Turn on and reboot.

If you cannot find the Clear CMOS jumper, removing the battery for a few minutes will achieve the same thing.

When you switch on and re-boot you will proboberly get CMOS Checksum Error. No a problem. Just go into the BIOS and load the setup defaults and everything should be fine.

thanks dat worked.now i tink i hav a problem wit my hard disk.its not being detected
