I got it off of ebay and the guy said it was working before he sent it. What could be the problem?

Most common cause is a CMOS battery going bad. Try replacing it.

try to reset cmos.......make sure to unplug from wall first then startup and load default settings Please keep us updated so we know if we helped you or not.
