Hi
The date, time ect on my Gateway solo 9100 were constantly incorrect. I assumed this was due to a failing cmos battery so I replaced the cmos battery but this has not corrected the problem. Does any one have any ideas on why the date and time are not being held on the correct settings. I look forward to ideas.

very simple. bad quartz clock chip. This is built-into the mainboard and can't be replaced. Either get a program like AtomTime and constantly sync with the atomic clock, live with it or replace your mainboard.

I've never seen a motherboard that kept accurate time. They seem to all lose or gain a little each day.
