I can click and drag with my mouse over a body of text and select the text (I see it highlighted) but when I let go of the mouse button the text is no longer selected. Any ideas on why this is happneing?
I should add this only happens when I select a large body of text. It works fine if I am only selecting a few lines
Maybe someone else will come up with a fix, but in the meantime: I would suggest ignoring the fact that the highlite disappears and try the paste to see if it works.
Yes I did try that and it did not copy.
Try this:
Left click in front of the first word you want to copy, then move the cursor to the last word and hold down shift & left click.
See if it is now highlighted.
The problem ended up being specific to one program. Copied over another user's DLL file and now it works!
