I red somewhere that windows keeps a hidden database file on all USB keys that had been plugged in. Does anyone know the name and location of this file ? and is it possible to reset or clear this database ?
the reason is one of my usb keys is displaying a windows message "compressed zip " , only does it on a particular pc and only this parcticular usb key.

The database only is used for trying to return the same drive letter to it.
