The only sure way of getting rid of all private information is to delete everything on the disk, reformat and re-install the operating system and driver and word.

There are so many places that private information can lurk, it is the only way to do it.

Did you buy it the first time? If you still have the info including the serial #, you can just reinstall it. Or don't worry about it. They can install their own software. You won't get any more for the computer because it has word on it.

Just uninstalling stuff still leaves it on the hard disk that a half way knowledgeable person can still recover. By reformatting and reinstalling you reduces that chances of that happening by a considerable margin.

If you have a legitimate copy with the right installation code then you can reinstall Word as many times as you need within the restrictions of the EULA.
