Hello
Just bought used laptop IBM Thinkpad 765 L and inadvertently went inot cmos setup and set the floppy as the only bootable device with nothing behind it. Now it boots to floppy only.
Of course, it worked fine before I messed with it. Now on boot it comes up with the black and white pictures to press f1 as this is the only device I set to boot as the hard drive was named hdd4 or something or other.
Will clearing CMos restore the defaults where it will boot normal as it worked perfectly before this and I even tried a reinstall of the windows 98 on the system and of cours when it restarted the floppy dealy again.
Please help as I have no experience with laptops and need to fix this.
I have no passwords set as this is not the problem, only the boot order and when I press Ctrl Alt Ins to access CMos again as I did yesterday, it comes up with the black and white floppy screen, I have no cdrom drive.
Any help would be appreciated.
What is a good graphical place to learn the ins and outs of a laptop.
