I am building a new computer and I need some good fast RAM with plenty of speed for gaming, photo & video editing. I am not an expert on RAM so what RAM should I go for to match my needs? What should I look for when buying RAM?
Heres what I have in hardware:
ASUS A8V Deluxe AMD 64 (3000+) Audigy 2 ZS Sony DRU-710A Western Digital HD 160GB

well im not to sure about RAM either, but one gig of ram is good enough for gaming at the moment. I have 1 gig of Kingston Pc3700 Hyper-X, and its amazing, the load times are really fast, just a sweet product. A little expensive but will keep you happy for a while. Hope this helps

Corsair or Kingston are both top quality memory manufactures but its really up to you. The timings are a spec you should pay attention to , as lower timings = faster. Cause one gig is good but with low timings, then its sweet. Those 2 Corsair you showed are quite good, just your decision to get Corsair or Kingston (all the same) also make sure you get dual channel, as thats the best wya to get the best preformance.

Summary: I bought my Inspiron 8200 3 years ago. I do not have enough money to buy a new one yet, so I am planning on upgrading it a bit. It still is a decent machine, here are the spec: Pentium 4 Mobile, 2GHZ ...
Summary: Have attempted upgraded from 256MB 133 SDRAM to 1GB PC2100 DDR. On POST screen, in BIOS and in Windows it shows it as 512MB. The motherboard is ASRock K7VT2 and according to the manual can support up ...
Summary: On a P4 system, 533MHz FSB doesn't actually run at 533MHz, it runs at 133MHz. The bus is "quad-pumped" so 533MHz is more theoretical speed than actual. When choosing RAM, you have to think in terms of...
