Hi there!

My last PSU (Enermax 650W Infiniti SLI) was burned after an electricity problem at home.

I want to buy a new PSU and I would like you help a little bit if you can!

I'm on buying a PSU between 600-800 Watts..

And these are the nominations...

1. Enermax 650W Infiniti Crossfire (140euros)
2. Enermax 720W Infiniti SLI (162.99 euros)
3. ETASIS ET750 GAMING POWER SUPPLY 750W (109 euros)
4. TAGAN TG700-U26 700W I-XEYE II (131,96 euros)
5. TAGAN TG700-U33 700W 2-FORCE II (129 euros)
6. THERMALTAKE W0131 TOUGHPOWER 850W NVIDIA SLI CERTIFIED (141.19 euros)
7. TAGAN TG800-U26 800W I-XEYE II (168.87 euros)

Any help appriciated!

BTW, SLI or Crossfire.. means that, I cannot for example setup an SLI with a PSU labeled as "Crossfire" ?? Or is it a marketing trick?? Those certifications I mean..

Thanks.

Current on the 12 V bus is very important to consider with a new video card(The more you can afford the more stable the setup will be to some extent). For example a 32 Amp total is enough for an nvidia 8800.You do not need 2 video cards (SLI or otherwise)since new generation cards have all you need in terms of support for DirectX 10, OpenGl, Shaders,2 screens if you need it.The new nvidia 8800 series for example has 2 specific power connectors that may be present as their counterpart on the power supply and will save you the adapter.A new and powerful power supply will also offer those extra connectors for SATA not present on cheaper but still also useful power supply units if you have no need for them.

Why are you buying another one, are you ineligible for an -- equal or better value -- replacement from Enermax?

ATI has Crossfire.Nvidia has SLI.For both you would connect 2 or 4 compatible PCI-E video cards or GPU.The PSU is generally compatible with both Crossfire or SLI.

Those setups consume very large amounts of power(Watts)and need as big a power supply as you can get for the budget you have. The units you mention would be good for 2 PCI-E video cards except the ETASI ET750 that supports 4 PCI-E video cards. The TAGAN TG700-U33 700W 2-FORCE II with 2x80 mm fans is very energy efficient for a 2 cards setup and offers all the most recent standards. These 2 power supplies are also the least expensive.
