Chkdsk shows Inserting 3904 into index File 9

This is for a friend's Compaq with XPSP2 installed. I went to Properties on Drive C: and ran both tools, when I booted up it Inserted 3904 index entries and then cleaned up 3229 unused index entries from a File 9. I don't recall seeing such a large amount of changes. Should I run a disk utilitie to check out the condition of this drive or has Windows taken care of the problem? TIA srloren

hi...I think the problem has been sorted out... ...however, you can perform chkdsk again to make sure --- you can`t lose anything... :-)
