Check Powersupply AMP output

How can you test the amp output for a powersupply on the 12v rails. Say for instance I want to check if the rated 18 amps is actually 18 amps.
I know there is a easy way to test voltages (either bios or a psu tester). But is there an easy way to test amps? Most Multimeters I have seen only go up to 10 amps max.

No.
A PSU doesn't sit there churning out max amperage, amperage varies depending on load. Voltage on the other hand *should* be reasonably constant (within 5% +/-) at all times...that's why it's easy to check. Unfortunately, voltage testing is almost useless. Unless you can afford high tech/high priced load testing equipment that costs in the 10's of 1000's of dollars, you're just gonna have to stick with relying on reviews & buying brand name units. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for.
Summary: does the *.**a or ****ma on laptop power adapters refer to amps? more to the point, does that number matter for functionality? for example, if i have an HP that wants a 19v 2.4a power adapter, wont a ...

Summary: my vcore is at 1.675 to check the amps under the +12 volt rail, look at the chart on the powersupply itself this chart will have +5, +3.3, +12, and a few other rails right below the rail is the number...
