Hello,
I have a SFF PC I built based on a MB that has an NVIDIA GeForce 6100 chipset for video. I use it mainly as an audio server and for an occasional youtube video on my projector. It is connected via a VGA splitter to a small LCD and the projector.
I am now planning to add Karaoke capability. I have mic's and a mixer. I want to be able to connect another little monitor to be used purely for the karaoke lyrics. This will require a new video card I believe. I am not interested in any more performance than the 6100, I just need the feature of a different or second output availability. I could use an old CRT monitor I have laying around or an old TV. I want to do this on the cheap. Anybody have suggestions?
Thanks,
Pat

Does your SFF PC require a low profile video card w/low profile bracket?

I don't believe so. The box is actually ATX, it is just configured as a desktop type so it can fit in my audio cabinet. Your link looks like a good one.
As I use the VGA out now, would you recommend using the HDMI or DVI for the main display and the VGA for the second? With this card, I will need to get an HDMI splitter as I have the two ports on my receiver used for HD DVD and PS3. The second monitor I'd use has only VGA in.
Thanks,
Pat

I assumed you needed a low profile card but even if you don't, I don't see how you can go wrong with that card. You have your choice of outputs, it's fanless so it's silent, & the price is right.
Hook up the CRT to the VGA port & do what you gotta do for the rest.
