I bought a soyo mother board that came with a small sound card. I can only play music or hear sounds of a video but when i try playing games, their is no sound. Is it because of my sound card?

What do you mean a small soundcard? Onboard sound? Or a PCI card?

Some of the older "DOS" or Win3x soundcards could only play sounds in older DOS or Windows games if you had MPU401 drivers installed. A lot of times those older cards came with very specific drivers, to make them work on whatever mobo they were installed. If you can pull out the soundcard, look at the manufacturer name and date, and then go to a place like www.driverguide.com to look for some driver files. You could also ask in the Win3x forum for advice on such an older card.
