Changeing 10GB hdd to a 160GB hdd

Seagate Barracuda 160gb hard drive

I have a 10GB hdd in my desktop, is it posible to exchange it with a new 160GB hdd (IDE) and how do i go about it?
Pls, if any body can help?!!

No system specs whatsoever, motherboard model/revision at least unless it is a Compaq Gell, HP etcetc then model number, but the BIOS needs to be 48LBA Complient see:

In addition to the above correct information I believe all current Seagate 160GB hard drives now available are SATA type connection. You may or may not have that type of controller available.

Without system and hard drive specs it is impossible to give accurate advice.
