I have...
Manufacturer: Hewlett-packard
Model: Pavilion ze5700 (dz361u)
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3
CPU/Ram: 2.791 GHz / 958 MB
Video Card: Radeon IGP 34xM (Omega 3.8.442)Using 64mb Shared Memory
Sound Card: ALi Audio Accelerator WDM driver

I noticed that when I try to access BIOS it asks for a password. I don't know how the password got there on the Bios, Possibly one of the techs that has worked on it over the years?? I don't know. I have tried everything I know to do to get rid of password. NO LUCK. I simply want to change maximum allotted shared video memory to 128mb which the max for this card. I have a gig of ram so it shouldn't hurt much. Is there any way to change it outside of BIOS????? I spent a lot of money on purchasing RealFlight 4.5G and just want it to run a little better on this Laptop.

Laptops aren't good for gaming unless you specifically buy a gaming laptop. Increasing the shared memory from 64MB to 128MB will have little effect other than lowering the memory available to the system to 896MB & reducing overall system performance.

To reset the BIOS & clear the password, you need to either temporarily remove the CMOS battery or you can try a software program such as KILLCMOS.
