Solved change display to white characters on black background

Specs: Windows 7, Enough for all purposes
My wife has impaired vision. She is best able to discern white characters on black backgrounds. Does anyone know if this combination can be created on standard color monitor. She has 23 inch Samsung monitor. Regardless of whether this can be accomplished, it would be preferable to have a monitor that displays everything as white on black background and tones of grey.

You can play around with the 'appearance' settings in display properties but I don't know if you can get everything as white on black.

Another possibility, does the OSD on the monitor have a monochrome setting? That would give you black, white and shades of grey only.

If it was 25 years ago it would be easy as dos was all white on black.

Edit It might be possible to force your video adapter to display monochrome. You can check it from display properties too.

Try googling monochrome display "windows 7" and see if any of the links there help.
