On a CGA monitor, if 4.85 volts is applied to pin3, 0.8 volts is applied to pin4 and 0.5 volts is applied to pin5, could you please tell me what colour is displayed on the screen and why. i have looked everywhere for the information and was wondering if anyone could help me at all. much appreciated. kirst x

CGA used a digital signal (either off or on) so pin3, at ~5V is on = red

To use a CGA monitor, pretty much all that's required is a CGA card (and an ISA slot to put it in)

Yes, Red, Blue and Green, and 'intensity' (bright) which can be applied to the colour set - also Black & White
