Reply: (edit )Yes, they don't replace an IDE mechanical drive in any sense other than possibly size and noise.They are a good solution to legacy systems that can no longer get smaller hard drives.

Reply: (edit )For years, I used one in an old headless 90Mhz PC running a stripped down version of Linux and used it as a firewall/router.
