I work at a university as a digital equipment specialist and have been assigned to find CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives to put in classroom computers. The only catch is that, if possible, my supervisor would like to have drives that can read DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM. I have done some research, but so far have not been able to find a drive that is capable of reading all of the above formats.
Has any one seen or heard of a drive that can read all of the formats my boss has specified or do I need to tell him that it is not possible to find such a drive?

The only drive I've heard of that plays all formats is the Sony DRU-500A dvd recorder drive. But of course that is a DVD recorder and is subject to high prices :(
