Hi,
I can write to my cd/rw through Roxio project selector but I wanted to go through Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Backup and burn a backup of my C drive. I put the destination as my D drive and it tells me that the disk is write protected. How do I change this?
Thanks,
Carol

The MS backup program will not write to a CD burner. If I'm not mistaken, the newer versions of EZ CDcreator have an option to back up a hard drive. But Drive Image or ghost are the best.

You will not be able to back-up programs this way. The files needed for re-instalation (if required) will be missing.

Nortons Ghost claims to be able to do this.
I have never tried it and it would take several 700MB CD-R's to complete (35 for my PC by my calculation).

hi ...
can you explain me what means - cd-rw write protect - ???
that's the answer when i try format or burn a brand new cd-rw media.
what have i to do to "unlock" this media???

another question is ....
how to make a cd-rw .mp3 in order to burn about 150-200 songs in a cd and keep it apart one of another.
i tried to make it with a cd-r and choose data before burn the cd, but it results in just one song 70 minutes longer.
is it just work out with cd-rw??

brgds,
antonio
