CD-RW drive won't read discs

My cyberdrive 40x16x48 will write to discs but won't read them, I have changed cables and I now have it set as master on it's own cable, but it still won't read discs. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install the software/drivers that cam with this drive? Are the discs CD-R or CD-RW? I found my CD-RW drive will write to CD-RW discs, but won't read them. I hope this helps.
