CD-RW Drive Not Working

My new CD-RW isn't working. I had to take out my old CD-ROM drive because my IDE card couldn't take in 2 CD-ROM Drives. When I plugged in my CD-RW drive and all the other stuff it needs, I started my computer and opened "My Computer" and saw no icon for my new Drive. Why isn't it working? It opens and closes correctly. Also, my old CD-ROM was attached to my Floppy Drive. I did the same with my new CD-RW drive. If I take it out, will it work?

Did you go into CMOS setup and autodetect the drive before booting Windows?

I had to get an install a new 'bus master' driver, before I could get my system to recognize my new CD-RW. I was able to find the 'bus master' driver from the site of the chipset maker (Intel, SiS, etc...). I found the solution by searching the Tech Support site of the CD-RW maker.
Installing it is a bit scary; but, I just answered the prompts with the default value when in doubt, and things worked out OK.
