Comment:

I have a WPI CD-RW 4x4x24 which, according to device manager is working properly, but when I try to write a copy of files from the hard disc, or copy Cd's I get an error message, which says "write disc error SCSI error - hardware error(04/44)- internal controller error - cdb:2A 00 00 00 02 F3" when I double click on this I get a message from the NTI software help, which says "Indicates that the controller detected an error which could not be otherwise explained" The CD-RW reads CD's OK and the DVD-ROM drive works OK. Is the CD-RW kaput, or is there something I can do to correct it? The O/S is Windows 2000 Professional

I assume this worked OK at one time?

Has anything changed...software or hardware? IS your DVD the primary slave & the CDRW the 2ndary master?
