I've purchased a couple of Re-writable CDs and am unable to record/burn onto them. My system is an HP Pavilion 7845, complete with a CD Writer Plus.
Do I need a specific CDRW drive to burn onto RW-CDs? I spoke with the CD sales person, and they said I shouldn't have a problem...but I am. The Easy CD Software or my CD Writer does not recognize the CDRW disc. I have no use for these CDRWs now... Any suggestions?

I had the same problem when i had to replace my CD-RW. EZ CD Creator 4 would not recognize the new CD-RW drive. The Roxio site said that EZ CD Creator 4 has not been supported the last 2 years and will not work with the new CD-RW drives being made today. So i had to get EZ CD Creator 5 and it works very nice. I beleive EZ CD Creator 6 would work OK too, but i haven't tried it. What software came with your new CD-RW drives? Most come with Nero which is also a good program for burning CD-r's..

What is the speed of the disc's you bought? And what version of ez cd do you have? You might try to update ez cd to 4.5 if your version is less. Also, speed of cd writer?

Is your drive a CD Writer or CD Re-Writer?
This could be the answer.

My drive is a CD Writer. I have been told that you do not need a CDRW drive to burn onto Re-Writable CDs.

Ths CDs I bought are Multi Speed:
1x 2x 4x

I'm unsure of my CD Writer speed.
I was browsing the help topics in CD Creator and they mentioned that you must have a CDRW Drive to use CDRW discs! Perfect! I have spoken with a few people, but I guess they were all uninformed.

Thanks for your help.
