I just formatted my hard drive and installed windows xp professional. Everything seems to be working fine except my Benq/Acer model 3210A cd-r/rw drive. The drive won't read any cd that I try even though it tries to read them. In device manager, the indication is that the drive is working properly. If I place the windows xp pro cd into the drive, it is read but no other cd is read by the drive. In device manager's list under cd-rom, the name of the drive(Benq/Acer) is not listed as it seems generic. Can anyone help? Thanks.
