CD/ROMand DVD/RW drives not showing

Have power to both drives, but in the Device list, they are shown with Yellow !. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. They don't appear in the directories either.
Error message when checking Properties:
Windows cannot load the device drivers for this hardware. Drivers may be corrupt or missing.

Are you sure that they are cabled correctly? Are you sure that they are plugged Master/Slave correctly (one Master and the other Slave)?

Thanks, yes. I have tried every conceivable way as far as jumpers. I set the first one on the cable as master and the second as slave.

Try to split them to different IDE cables, ie: having one pared up with the system OS drive on the primary IDE chanel and having the other on the Secondary IDE channel. It should look something like this:
Primary Master: HDD with OS Primary Slave: CD-ROm Secondary Master:DVD-RW Secondary Slave: other hdd
