My CD-ROM hasn't been working right lately. If I put a CD in it that should autorun, it won't do it anymore. If I open the CD directory up in Run, sometimes it freezes. Sometimes it will read the CD, but mostly it won't. It hasn't been right since I got back from a 2 week vacation. I have 2 CD rom drives, a regular and 1 for burning CDs. Neither of them work right. I know I don't have any viruses because I scanned, so it's not that. Also, I already tried reinstalling the drives for each of them but still nothing. I got the computer not long ago, it's only about 3 months old, so the drives can't be bad yet. If anyone knows what's wrong, please tell me. Thanks

what kind of cdrom drive? And what kind of Cd burner do you have and what speed are they?

My main one is a HL-DT-ST cd-rom GCR-8483B and the burner is a samsung cd-r/rw sw-252s. I know the burner burns at 48x speed, and I'm not sure about the regular one. Both of them came with the dell dimension 2400
