Reply: (edit)The motherboard may be to old to have that option. You can try 2 things 1. Do a flash upgrade on your motherboard. (you will have to download the new drivers for your motherboard run a program to creat the driver disk and then fallow the inst...) 2. use a windows 98 boot disk and run the bootable cd-rom from dos. If you don't have one use a friends computer and a copy of the windows 98 cd-rom to creat one in dos.

Reply: (edit)You can download a generic Win98 bootdisk at www.bootdisk.com. Do you have the dos drivers for your CD-Rom installed? If yes just copy the config.sys and autoexec.bat to the bootdisk. Check if the loaded files have a path like C:\xxxxxx\..... If not add the correct path C:\ or copy the file to the bootdisk. If you don't have the Dos driver installed you can install it and take the above way or you can insert the correct lines manually in the config.sys and autoexec.bat. How to do it should be in your manual or check the site of the CD-Rom manufacturer!
