hello, i'm trying to install a cd-rom player on a system from 1998. when the drive stopt working a new cd-player was baught, when i put the cd-rom player in the system and I connect the power cable and start the computer, it will co open en close when i press the butten. but when i connect the ide cable to any connection that there is(2) and i even try'd both directions it will not open or close.
an other problem is the harddrive was excedently formattet, so there's no OS on the computer left
