I have a LG CD-ROM CRD-8322B. For some ridiculous reason beyond my comprehension, whenever I use it, five minutes later it'll automatically eject for no reason at all. It doesn't matter if there's a CD in there, or if it's currently reading, it'll still eject, causing all kinds of errors. What's worse is when it is still reading the CD, and it ejects, causing the CD to actually fly out of the tray. Also, after it ejects once, and I close the tray, it'll continue to automatically eject for no reason every few minutes or so.

I've tried searching the internet for a solution, and I've never heard of this problem before. I already updated the drivers, but that doesn't seem to help at all.

If someone could please let me know what is wrong with it, I'd appreciate it. I'm running Windows 98 on a HP Pavilion 8485z if that helps at all. Thank you.

I doubt it, I've run two different ones and neither of them caught anything.
