Heeh! i did the same thing to a cd-rom that i had that did want to open, but the problem with it was that the gears in the cd-rom that made the door open where kind of jammed, and i had to move the gears to make it eject, heeh! but that might be a thing u can do, but the geers might still stay jammed, but u can try it, heeh! in the first place, u sould of not open ur cd-rw drive to clean the laser, but o well, we all are curious, but next time u clean a drive, get a can of pressured air and open the drive and blow the air into the drive and move it around, if u see dust comeing out, well keep doing it for a while until u maby so no more dust, or u can get a cd drive cleaner that has a bursh to clean the laser, but the can of commpressed air should be better, but u should clean you drive monthy or more often if u use it all the time, but dont open it, unless u know how to fix and work with optical drives, then u can do it! I hope this helps!

Maby it stated now beacuse its just that maby a gear went out of place, you wont always have luck if u open the drive, and still think its going to work.
