The use of Registry Cleaners is not recommended as they can do more harm than good. All they do is remove redundant entries, but can sometimes remove entries which are not redundant (which is why they are risky). They can't rectify entries which contain errors, nor can they create a missing entries, and it may be that your Registry has a missing or incorrect entry, so a Registry Cleaner is useless in that case.
