Hello guys, im new to this forum and i came here since im totally desperate. Im having a deep problem with my dvd rom recognition. Yesterday i turned my pc on, entered a disc and nothing happened. I went to My Computer, i saw that my drive isnt there...i have had that issue before so i thought i just restart like i always did. I restarted, and still same. Next i tried to change power cable to it, still same. I tried another IDE cable ...still nothing. Then i hooked this drive up to another pc, everything worked fine. Im really afraid that maybe its my motherboard controller which has failed? please help.
My drive is not recognized in BIOS either...i dont know what to do...

Hi there,

Have you tried the jumper settings ? Try to replace the data cable If still its not shown is BIOS then definately there can be problem with the controller on your motherboard.

Best of luck
