CD/DVD drive not working

Specs: Windows 16.09.2009
I have a HP a6700f and I'm having some problems with my CD drive. I recently installed a Radeon 5550 Video card and a new 500W power source and for some reason thats when the drive stopped working. I still see it in My Computer and I can click on it and it says Please insert ect. However, I am unable to eject the drive by either pushing the button, right clicking and pressing eject. And when I right click and eject it says "Problem Occured while Ejecting Drive C" I'd really like some information with that.

Quite often when installing a new card, the cable can be slightly dislodged to another thing like the floppy or the cd rom. Turn off your computer. Open the case. Use proper grounbding procedures. Reseat the cables to the cd rom both on the motherboard and on the back of the device. A cable offset by as little of 1/16 inch can give you an error. After reseating, restart your computer and see if that does the tirck.
