CD/DVD drive affected by graphics card?

November 9, 2010 at 23:24:23
Specs: Windows XP, AMD Athlon X2 5200/ 2x 1gb ddr2 GSkill
I recently installed my new XFX HD 5670 into my PC. I ruled out the obvious solutions such as faulty motherboard/video card and video card not seated properly. I think it may have something to do with my PSU. The reason I say that is because when the card is installed, my otherwise unrelated CD/DVD drive wont work either.

any bit of feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!

Hd 5670 doesn't require additional power, may be u have a lot of components & weak psu or the psu is bad. Start by listing psu specs (+3.3v, +5v, +12v).
