I have a internal cd burner that works fine, reads cds, burns, but when I hit the eject button it sounds like a sledgehammer hitting the computer and the cds either get sanded down or snapped in half. What is wrong with this thing and is it fixable?

Thanks Justin

The bad news is that it would cost more to fix than buying a new drive.

Go for a new drive buddy, they're pretty cheap nowdays anyway!
I think there's a big hardware problem if it's killing ur cds.
