If you look on the fron of the CD you may see a little pin hole. Pusj something in like a paper clip, carfully and you should force the eject mchanism into life.

This device is designed to eject a disk that have no power connected to it. Sometime it is needed if the eject mechanism is beginning to get a bit worn. I have a CD that works fine once there is a disk in it. But ejecting the tray to get the disk in in the first place requires a bit of pursassion.

You may be using Easy CD Creator. I used to use this, and it did the same thing, "locking" the drive after it used it. You can unlock the cd using it's icon in your taskbar.

If you are using Roxio's DirectCD, it will lock the CD and you have to have DirectCD running to eject it.

DON'T push a pin or a paper-clip into your drive with the computer on. I've fried several drives this way before I learned that that was a no-no.
