CD ROM vs. CD RW

For backup, data transfer (ie) moving stuff between machines, and whatever else you do with it (besides music), which media do you use, and why? Of course, the RW disks cost more....

I have had a CDRW for about five years now. I got a CDRW blank disk with my first burner. I still have that disk unburner in the drawer. CDR is all I use. Most of what I use is free after rebates. I see not reason to use CDRW media.

I will retract my prevoius statement. I can think of one situalion where CRRW media makes sense. If I had to do daily incremental backups that fit easily on CDRW meadia and the process was automated I would then use CDRW media.
