Hi people This is an old computer that I have decided to recycle and make a nice linux box. The processor is actualy similar to a P1 and the hdd takes 820MB. It was running win 95 but and the CD ROM was working until I decided to clean it out, format it again and try to make a clean Linux install. The problem now is that the CD rom does not work and I can not make the installatiion from flopies. I've installed win 3.1 to try to get the CD ROM working but it doesn't. Could someone give me some pointers please. Thanks.

You probably have to manually install DOS drivers to get it work under Win3x. I think I have some CD-ROM drivers that might work. If you want e-mail me and I'll send u a copy of them (in ZIP or RAR form, whatever you prefer).
